I’m Ashley, a mom of an 8-year-old son with autism. When my son was born, he ate, slept, and played like other kids. However, when he was 2 years old, my husband and I started to notice his unusual behaviors, but we didn’t know why he acted like that.
We talked with a pediatrician about our son’s condition and knew that he is autistic. And our Autism Journey has started from that…
I have to say that the first year was really tough for us. We consulted advice from doctors, searched all information about autism spectrum disorder on the internet. We were nearly stressed and suffering from lack of sleep during that time. What’s more, we had to learn to familiarize with our son’s autism.
I know how hard it is for everyone who has relatives with autism. But if you have patience, sympathy, and have faith in your autistic relatives, I believe that their life will be easier, and yours will be too.
That’s why I’m here to share with you our journey. In one day, together we can help impact society’s thoughts and make them more accepting of autism spectrum disorder, which might change autistic people’s life forever.
Let’s learn, teach, and help each other to complete that great mission.
